Sonoma Loeb Dignitary Chardonnay is a mevushal California white from Sonoma County, aged in French oak in the classic Burgundian style. Rich, layered, and one of the more serious kosher Chardonnays coming out of the U.S. right now.

Tasting notes

The nose lifts ripe golden apple, poached pear, and lemon curd over a soft vanilla oak edge. The palate is medium-to-full bodied, with layered orchard fruit, a creamy sur lie texture, and notes of butterscotch and toasted brioche carried by refreshing acidity. The finish is long and generous, with a lingering vanilla-oak note and a subtle citrus lift.

Food pairing

A natural pour with butter-poached fish, herb-roasted chicken, cream sauces, mushroom risotto, and dairy Yom Tov meals. Also holds up to soft cheeses and Shavuos cheesecake.
