Har Bracha's Yozef bottling - Cabernet-led from vineyards on Mount Grizim at 840 meters in the Shomron, twenty months in French oak.

Mood: The Shabbos table that wants serious Shomron wine. The guest who follows boutique Israeli producers and asks about Har Bracha specifically.

Our sommelier says
Deep Bordeaux red. The nose opens with blackberry and black cherry over an oak-driven layer of vanilla and sweet spice from twenty months in French barrel. The blend is Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant (85%) with a touch of Merlot and Petit Verdot rounding the mid-palate. Full-bodied with structured tannin and the dense fruit character that altitude in the Shomron gives. Finishes long with a delicate sweet edge that says the oak time is fully absorbed. Decant thirty minutes; built to hold a few more years.

Tasting notes

Blackberry, black cherry, vanilla, sweet spice, soft cedar. Full body, structured tannin, dense fruit core, oak-integrated. Long, gently sweet-spiced, composed.

Food pairing

Ribeye, lamb shoulder, beef brisket, slow-braised short ribs, hard cheese (after the wait), Yom Tov seudah.
